Coloring Easter Eggs

The kids had a good time coloring eggs, even though Meagan looks unhappy! Garrett was very quick - drop it in the dye and pull it right out. Meagan took a little more time. Both kids enjoyed writing on their eggs with a crayon and then coloring them.

Awww. . . isn't he cute mom?

Garrett's school had a petting zoo on the last day of school before Sprin/Easter Break.

I am so talented!

Well . . . not talented really. I can read and follow directions. I got this recipie from Family Fun. You should check it out - lots of great projects and activities for the whole family.

I did it! Uploaded a picture that is . . .

I am so excited that I finally figured out how to upload pictures to my blog! Yea!
I am also very excited that my colleagues selected me as teacher of the year. I am honored and hope I live up to the award.

Priceless . . .

Tub of Beads that melt when heat is applied $19.95
Extra beads in "cool" colors $9.95
Two hours where your two children get along
with no screaming or fighting priceless

I actually slept until 10:00! this morning (because I was up until 1:00 A.M. reading a hilarious blog) and my kids actually played together creating bead everything . . . circles, squares, dogs, horses, you name it and they created it. I guess the planets were all aligned or something!

Another funny from Garrett

Garrett found his Aquadoodle pen - which I had tossed on top of the fridge - and proceeded to put water in it. He then dug the actual Aquadoodle out of his closet.

He wrote for a while and then needed to add more water to the pen. He was unable to open the pen so he brought it to me. I had trouble opening it and he said, "I didn't even close it that tight!" I told him he would have to wait for Daddy to open it. He went to him room and came back carrying something in his hand.

"Say hello to Mr. Wrench Mom! You can use this to open it so I don't have to wait for Dad!"

He was carrying his plastic pipe wrench.

Sadly, I was unable to open the pen, even with Mr. Wrench.

Spring Break

Why is it that I look so forward to Sprink Break and think about all of the things that I want to accomplish and then when break actually comes, I sit around and DO NOTHING???

Part of me thinks that I am so micromanaged (not a bad thing, just the way the school day has to be to get everything done that needs to get done) during the week (during the school year) that I don't know what to do with myself when I have no schedule. I struggle with this issue during the summer too.

I planned on scrapbooking today but unfortunately that didn't work out.

I have been exercising this week. Last week (March 10 - 14) we had kickball practice three times that I fully participated in. One of our little girls can pitch the ball so well I have trouble kicking it! (Of course, I am not the most athletic person in the world. My friends will all atest to this fact. Remind me to tell you the story about the staff kickball game some day.) I also walked twice over the weekend (March 15 - 16) Our elementary schools are getting tracks so I drive to the nearest school and walk. I skipped walking on Monday (March 17) but we did have kickball practice.
