Oh my God! I am totally turning into my Dad!

I just told Garrett, "If you are going to cry, I will give you something to cry about."

Other words (that belong to my father) recently out of my mouth:
"Where did you get your driver's license?? A Cracker Jacks box??? (said to a person who pulled out in front of me and then proceeded to drive 15 miles an hour - fifteen.)

I guess I'm okay unless I utter his favorite phrase of all time:

"I'm as serious as a heart attack."

I say expressions that my parents say all the time. My kids now reply, "Where did you learn that?" Your mama?

Check out my blog. I write a writing or reading lesson most days. www.debrennersmith.com

Thanks for the encouragement! It is rougher than I had imagined, but I am lucky to have a lot of help.
This post is hilarious! Some of my dad's sayings are so country, you would not believe it. But they always make me laugh. I do say, "We'll see" allll the time, and I hated when my mother said that. I guess we all turn into our parents!
